Micromelon Rover

The Micromelon Rover is the product I co-founded Micromelon Robotics to build: an intuitive programmable robot that helps students make the jump from block-based to text-based coding, and gives teachers a robotics platform that actually works in a classroom.

I led the hardware: electronics design, embedded firmware and getting the robot through manufacturing at scale. The Rover now teaches coding in more than 150 schools across Australia, with companion apps on Mac, Windows and iPad, a learning management system and a full robot simulator.

It was also HFS Design's first internal product.
